Camp Crier is complied and written by students in the Journalism class at Salish Kootenai College and by other interested school and reservation community members. The Journalism course is offered through the Liberal Arts department and is taught by Jennifer Greene, a poet and former editor of a tribal newspaper and David J. Spear, photographer and award-winning educator.

Over 1,100 students representing at least 50 tribes attend Salish Kootenai College, a tribal institution of higher learning, located on the Flathead Reservation in Pablo, Montana. SKC offers 4 bachelor’s degrees and 14 associate degrees along with seven certificate programs.

Thank you to Shannon Reilley, head of the Liberal Arts department, for her support of the journalism class at SKC. Thank you to Sam Williams and Leslie Camel for their efforts at designing this sight and to Sam again for maintaining the site. To Yolanda Matt and Melanie Strong of the SKC Information Technologies Department for logistical support and to Al Anderson and Ryan Benedetti for their council. Thank you to Dana Grant for providing equipment support. We’re grateful to Denny McAuliffe, director of Reznet News at the University of Montana School of Journalism.
